Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)

The management of deficiencies in the initial knowledge required to attend the Degree Course is implemented through the assignment of specific Additional Learning Requirements (ALR), in Italian Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi (OFA), based on the results obtained to the subjects covered by the admission test as provided for in Article 6 of Ministerial Decree 270/2004.

The Call for applications for admission to the first year of the Degree Course sets out the procedures for assigning ALRs, which are proposed in advance by resolution of the Degree Course Council.

Admitted students who do not reach the minimum threshold set in one or more subjects of the admission test, namely general knowledge and logical thinking, biology, chemistry, physics or mathematics, are assigned one or more specific Additional Learning Requirements.

Students who have been assigned one or more additional educational requirements are provided with a free of charge e-book for preparation and are guaranteed at least three tests per academic year in the form of multiple-choice quizzes on Moodle supervised by an appointed Commission. Failure to complete these requirements by 30 September of the 1st year will result in the student being unable to enrol in the 2nd year and being enrolled in the 1st year as a repeat student.
