Representative bodies

The initial accreditation of a new study programme involves various bodies with specific functions.

The proposing academic structure appoints an Organizing Committee (Comitato Ordinatore), responsible for drafting the degree programme project in accordance with the Guidelines of the Commission for the Quality of Teaching (CPQD) and taking into account the available resources. The project is progressively refined through consultations with the CPQD, which concludes the process with a final report.

According to Resolution no. 120 of the Academic Senate of 09/11/2015, the Organizing Committee must generally consist of a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 5 professors. The Organizing Committee and its representatives are designated by the Board of the Reference Department of the newly established degree programme, having consulted the professors' home departments, if different from the Reference Department. When appointing the members of the Organizing Committee, the Board of the proposing Department will also determine its duration. An Organizing Committee must also be appointed in the case of a new degree programme replacing a previous one that is being simultaneously phased out, whereas it does not apply to duplicate (replica) courses that share the Degree Course Council (CCS) with the programme to which they will be attached.

For the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery – MedTech, the governing bodies are the Organizing Committee and the Representative of the Organizing Committee for the first three years following the start of teaching activities.

Representative of the Organizing Committee:

Prof. Rosario Rizzuto

By way of derogation from Resolution no. 120 of the Academic Senate of 09/11/2015, justified by the opportunity to guarantee and consolidate the strong interdepartmental nature of the degree programme, the Organizing Committee consists of nine members:
